Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information CollabMarket ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website and platform (the "Platform"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from third parties you choose to connect.

  • Account & profile information — name, email address, role (brand/creator/agency), display name, username, bio, country/city, niche, languages, and (for creators) any preferred work locations you choose to list.
  • Authentication data — we use a third-party authentication provider to manage sign-in; we receive a verified email address and a unique account identifier from it, not your password.
  • Campaign & order data — packages, campaign briefs, applications, messages between brands and creators, deliverables, reviews, and dispute records.
  • Payment data — transaction amounts, currency, status, and payout requests. Card, UPI, and bank details are collected and stored directly by our payment processors — we do not store full payment credentials on our servers.
  • Connected social account data — if you connect Instagram or another platform, we receive your handle, follower/engagement counts, profile photo, and (where permitted by the platform's API and your account's eligibility) aggregate audience demographics such as gender, age range, and country breakdowns. We do not receive your social account password.
  • Content you upload — portfolio photos and videos, profile and cover photos, and campaign deliverables, stored with our cloud media provider.
  • Usage & device data — pages visited, actions taken, browser/device type, IP address, and similar diagnostic data, collected automatically to keep the Platform secure, reliable, and improving.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — used for keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and understanding aggregate usage. See "Cookies" below.

2. How we use information

  • To create and manage your account, and to operate creator discovery, campaigns, messaging, and escrow payments
  • To power AI-assisted creator/campaign matching and search relevance
  • To calculate trust, authenticity, and verification signals shown on profiles
  • To process payments, payouts, refunds, and platform commission
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service (including automated moderation of messages and listings)
  • To send transactional communications (order updates, payout confirmations, security alerts) and, where you've opted in, product updates or marketing
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

3. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis (for example, for users in the European Economic Area or UK), we rely on: performance of a contract (operating your account and orders), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, product improvement, security), consent (marketing communications, certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences, and may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage of the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Other users, as intended by the Platform — a creator's public profile, packages, portfolio, reviews, and (for brands) campaign details are visible to other users as part of how the marketplace works. Your email address is never shown publicly on your profile.
  • Service providers we rely on to operate the Platform, including: payment processing, authentication, cloud media hosting, AI-assisted matching, transactional email delivery, caching/infrastructure, and hosting. Each only receives the data it needs to perform its function, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Social platforms you connect — when you connect Instagram or another account, we exchange the minimum data needed to verify and sync your profile, per that platform's own developer terms.
  • Legal & safety — where required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of CollabMarket, our users, or the public, or to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms.
  • Business transfers — if CollabMarket is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal and tax obligations (including order and payment records, which we may need to retain for a longer period as required by financial regulations). When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information that is no longer required to be retained, typically within a reasonable period.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure credential storage — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to promptly address any vulnerabilities we become aware of.

8. International data transfers

CollabMarket serves users across multiple countries, and our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information (most of this you can do directly in Settings)
  • Request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Disconnect a connected social account at any time
  • Opt out of marketing emails (transactional emails about your account/orders will continue)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@collabmarket.com or use the "Delete Account" option in Settings. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

10. Children's privacy

CollabMarket is not directed to, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If we learn that we've collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided us information.

11. Third-party links & social login

The Platform may link to third-party sites (including creators' own social profiles) and supports connecting third-party social accounts. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties — review their own privacy policies separately.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll update the "Last updated" date above; material changes will be flagged in-app.

13. Contact & grievance officer

Questions or requests about this Policy or your personal data: privacy@collabmarket.com. For users in India, our Grievance Officer can be reached at the same address in accordance with applicable data protection law.
